Horseshoe Park Events in Queen Creek: What’s Coming From Fall 2026 Through Spring 2027
If you live in Queen Creek and only think of Horseshoe Park when Roots N’ Boots rolls around, there’s actually a lot more happening out there over the next several months.
Between rodeos, barrel racing, cutting horses, mounted shooting, Christmas events and some pretty big family weekends, the calendar from October 2026 through spring 2027 is packed.
I went through the Town calendar and the individual event organizers to make sure the dates and times below are as current as possible.
One important note: some 2027 events have confirmed dates but not detailed daily schedules yet. I’m not going to fill those gaps with last year’s times and pretend they’re current. I’ll update this as organizers release more.
Horseshoe Park & Equestrian Centre
20464 E. Riggs Rd.
Queen Creek, AZ 85142
Horseshoe Harvest Hangout
October 30–31, 2026
This is probably the biggest family event at Horseshoe Park this fall.
Think Halloween mixed with rodeo, live music and a small-town festival.
The festival grounds are free to enter, but parking is $20 per day and is cashless. The only part that requires a ticket is the Main Arena during the rodeo and concert. Horseshoe Harvest Hangout

4:00–10:00 PM: Vendors

7:00 PM: Roughstock rodeo
7:00 PM: Equine Halloween Costume Contest and 4D Open Barrel Racing in Arena 2
Midnight: Event ends
Friday also includes the main live country concert after the rodeo. Horseshoe Harvest Hangout

12:00–10:00 PM: Vendors

There’s also trunk-or-treat, mutton bustin’, dummy roping, hay rides, food trucks, a kids zone, costume contests, beer, wine and cocktails.
One thing to know before you go: there is no off-site parking, and the event warns that vehicles parked along Riggs Road or nearby residential streets may be towed.

Gilbert Days Rodeo
November 19–22, 2026
Yes, the Gilbert Days Rodeo is held in Queen Creek.
The event has been around for decades and is one of those East Valley traditions that a lot of people forget is happening right here at Horseshoe Park.

The rodeo is advertising free entry with a new pair of socks for this night. Gilbert Days Rodeo

PRCA Queen Creek Xtreme Bulls
November 27–28, 2026
This one is worth putting on the radar.
The Town of Queen Creek calendar has PRCA Queen Creek Xtreme Bulls scheduled for November 27 and 28 at Horseshoe Park.
The current Town listing shows the event beginning at 5:00 PM on November 27, but a complete public schedule for both nights has not been posted yet. Queen Creek
So I would save the dates, but wait for the full ticket and performance schedule before making specific plans.
Queen Creek Cowboy Christmas & Trade Show
December 19–20, 2026
10:00 AM–6:00 PM both days
This might be one of the more underrated events on the calendar.
Admission is free. Parking is free.
The park will basically be split into several different areas.
Inside the main arena there will be:
- Vendor market
- Santa
- Photo booth
- Bar
Outside you’ll find:
- Food trucks
- Picnic areas
- Outdoor vendors
- Hay rides
- Trail riding
There’s also a trade area for used saddles and tack, plus a kids zone with stick-horse barrel racing, roping practice, Nerf target shooting, inflatable obstacle courses, cornhole and face painting.
And if you’re shopping for something slightly larger than a Christmas present, there will even be areas for used trucks, tractors, trailers and RVs.

January 2027 at Horseshoe Park
January is when the horse-sport calendar really starts getting busy.
Arizona Cutting Horse Association: Jumpstart Your Year
January 6–10, 2027
Starts at 8:00 AM
This is a multi-day cutting-horse competition.
If you’ve never watched cutting before, it’s actually pretty fun even if you know absolutely nothing about horses. The horse and rider separate one cow from the herd, and the horse essentially has to anticipate and mirror the cow’s movement.
The Town currently lists 8:00 AM starts. Queen Creek
Xtreme Million Queen Creek
January 14–17 and January 20–23, 2027
This is an important detail because the event is currently listed in two separate blocks, not one continuous January 14–23 event.
The first session begins at 8:00 AM on January 14.
This is a large barrel-racing event with multiple divisions and serious competitors coming into Queen Creek.
The complete daily schedule is still being finalized, so I’d save the dates rather than plan around a specific class time yet. Queen Creek
Arizona Quarter Horse Association
Dorn Parkinson Memorial Show
January 27–31, 2027
Another multi-day horse show at Horseshoe Park.
The Town currently lists the event on the calendar for January 27 through 31.
This one is typically free for spectators, which makes it an easy way to stop by and watch without committing to a ticketed rodeo weekend.
February 2027
Arizona Cutting Horse Association: Sun Circuit
February 3–7, 2027
8:00 AM starts
Another full cutting-horse weekend.
The Town currently has it listed beginning at 8:00 AM each day. Queen Creek
Cowboy Mounted Shooting Association
February 12–20, 2027
If you’ve never seen mounted shooting, this is probably one of the more unusual events on the schedule.
Riders race through a course on horseback while engaging balloon targets.
The dates are confirmed, but the 2027 day-by-day competition schedule has not been posted yet. Queen Creek
Arizona Cutting Horse Association: Wild West
February 24–28, 2027
8:00 AM starts
The third big cutting-horse show of the winter season.
The Town currently lists the event starting at 8:00 AM. Queen Creek
March 2027
Xtreme Mini Million Barrel Race
March 4–7, 2027
Another major barrel-racing weekend at Horseshoe Park.
The dates are confirmed. Specific daily start times are not yet posted publicly on the Town calendar. Queen Creek
Roots N’ Boots Queen Creek
March 16–21, 2027
This is the one most Queen Creek families already know.
Roots N’ Boots is six days of rodeo, carnival rides, kids events, vendors, live entertainment, family activities and PRCA competition.
The organizer officially lists March 16–21, 2027. Roots N Boots
The Town calendar currently lists the public rodeo portion from March 17–21. Queen Creek
One important warning
The detailed schedule currently available online is still the 2026 schedule.
The Roots N’ Boots ticket page specifically says to check back in the fall for 2027 updates, with ticket sales expected to open December 1 at 5:00 PM.
So I would absolutely save March 16–21, but I would not rely on specific rodeo times, carnival times or daily activity times until the 2027 schedule gets published.
Roots N’ Boots Queen Creek official site
April and Early May 2027
Arizona Cutting Horse Association: Spring Fling
April 14–18, 2027
8:00 AM starts
Another confirmed cutting-horse show at Horseshoe Park. Queen Creek
Arizona Cutting Horse Association: May Madness
April 28–May 2, 2027
8:00 AM starts
This takes the cutting-horse calendar into early May.
The Town currently lists 8:00 AM as the starting time. Queen Creek
The Dates I’d Actually Put on Your Calendar
If you don’t care about following every horse competition and just want the biggest events locals are most likely to plan around, I’d save these:
October 30–31
Horseshoe Harvest Hangout
November 19–22
Gilbert Days Rodeo
November 27–28
Queen Creek Xtreme Bulls
December 19–20
Queen Creek Cowboy Christmas
January 14–17 + January 20–23
Xtreme Million
March 4–7
Xtreme Mini Million
March 16–21
Roots N’ Boots
There are a lot of people moving into Queen Creek who have probably driven past Horseshoe Park a hundred times without realizing how much actually happens there.
And honestly, that’s part of what I like about having it here.
You can go from a giant PRCA rodeo weekend to watching cutting horses on a random Saturday morning to taking the kids to a free Christmas event, all at the same place.
I’ll keep updating this as 2027 schedules, ticket links, start times and any additional spring events get announced, especially Roots N’ Boots and Queen Creek Xtreme Bulls.
