Bella Storia: Gilbert’s Next Big Neighborhood (Update)
If you’ve been near Power and Williams Field lately, you’ve probably noticed all the dirt moving and wondered what’s going on. That’s Bella Storia, one of Gilbert’s newest master-planned communities, and it just got the green light for the residential and multifamily sections.
Right now, construction is happening on the north parcels — that’s where New Home Co. is stepping in. If you’re not familiar with them, let me break it down real quick.
Who’s New Home Co.?
They’re not a new name in homebuilding. New Home Co. builds in Arizona, California, and a handful of other states, and they’ve won a bunch of awards for both design and customer service. Translation? They know what they’re doing.
Here’s what they’re known for:
-
Homes that look good without being fussy. Clean, modern, timeless.
-
Smart-home features. Things like smart lighting, locks, and energy-efficient systems built right in.
-
Fair pricing. In Phoenix metro, their homes usually fall in the mid-$300Ks to low $400Ks range (but at this location in Gilbert, I see them starting higher) — making them a solid fit for families, professionals, and anyone looking for more space without going custom luxury.
What’s Planned for Bella Storia
The residential side of Bella Storia is approved for 229 lots. New Home Co. will be offering three product lines with three brand-new standard floor plans, designed to bring fresh options into the Gilbert market.
Here’s a snapshot of what’s expected:
-
Home Styles: A mix of duplex-style homes and detached single-family homes.
-
Square Footage: 1,528 – 2,552 sq. ft.
-
Bedrooms/Baths: 3–4 bedrooms, 2–3 bathrooms.
-
Community Vibes: Pool, playground, lounge area, picnic tables, and even cornhole boards (they know Gilbert loves a good cornhole game).
-
Location Perks: Schools within a 10-minute drive and easy access to jobs in Gilbert, Chandler, and Mesa.
So yeah, it’s being built with families in mind — plenty of room, plenty of amenities, and a master-planned feel without being over the top.
What’s Still Unknown
The big question mark is the commercial corner at Power and Williams Field. Nothing’s been announced yet, but let’s be real — with that much traffic, it’s only a matter of time before we see retail, restaurants, or maybe even something a little bigger land there. I’ll be keeping an eye on it.
Why You Should Care
Projects like Bella Storia are what keep Gilbert one of the most in-demand spots in the Valley. It’s not just about adding homes — it’s about adding neighborhoods that actually feel like communities.
If you already live here, this means more amenities and growth nearby. If you’re thinking about buying, Bella Storia could be a great option if you want something new, modern, and family-friendly without Scottsdale or Chandler prices.
Wrapping It Up
Bella Storia is just getting started, but it’s a good sign of where Gilbert’s headed: more housing variety, better amenities, and eventually, a fully built-out corner with shopping and dining.
I’ll keep sharing updates as soon as I hear more. And if you’re curious about what’s currently available nearby — or want a heads-up when Bella Storia homes hit the market — just reach out. I’ve got you covered.
