Big Change Coming to Downtown Chandler: Padeland is Moving In
If you’ve driven through downtown Chandler lately, you’ve probably noticed the old Look Dine-In Cinemas sitting empty on the corner of Arizona Ave and Chandler Blvd. Well, that’s about to change—big time.
The space is being completely redone and turned into Padeland—an indoor padel and pickleball club that’s bringing way more than just courts. Think:
-
4 indoor padel courts + 5 indoor pickleball courts
-
A full-on brewery and taproom
-
A sit-down restaurant
-
A coffee bar for mornings or mid-day breaks
-
Coworking areas, a pro shop, and wellness spaces
-
Even a strength training room and outdoor terrace
They’re aiming for a late November 2025 opening, and it’s going to be their first flagship location in Arizona.
Why this is a big deal for Chandler
Instead of a movie theater that only came alive a few hours a day, downtown’s getting a spot that’s active all day, every day. You’ll have people coming in the morning for coffee or a workout, hanging around for lunch, playing in the evening, and sticking around for a beer.
That kind of constant activity means:
-
More foot traffic for other shops and restaurants downtown
-
A new social hub where you don’t just go for a game—you go to hang out
-
Chandler making a name for itself with one of the first indoor padel/pickleball spots in the state
Bottom line: this isn’t just another business opening. It’s a shift in energy for downtown Chandler, and it could make the area even more of a go-to destination for the East Valley.
